“Climate change is real. The challenge is thrilling. The longer we wait, the more difficult it will be to fix the problem.” – John Forbes Kerry
The widespread art project In praise of the limit and the contemporary art exhibition inaugurated in Cisano, they want to trigger a reflection on our consumption habits: even small daily actions can in fact have an impact on the environment around us.
The Contemporary Art exhibition inaugurated in Cisano through a highly immersive aesthetic experience dialogues with visitors with the aim of reinforcing awareness of how everyone can be the architect of an increasingly necessary change in lifestyle and consumption. We are in fact convinced that today more than ever we need to move together - citizens, institutions, the productive world and the third sector - in the wake of a new ecological culture based on a “healthy” principle of self-regulation.
To communicate with the citizens of Lake Garda and the many tourists present on Lake Garda during the summer period, we have chosen to rely on the language ofart and beauty.
On display, in the splendid exhibition halls of Palazzo Cominelli, there will be the works of Cristina Gardumi, David Lovatti, Vincent Parisi, Henry Ranzanici, Fausto Salvi And Jonathan Xerra.
The works of the 6 artists investigate with various languages – from ceramics to photography, via video art – the relationship between Man and Nature and once again they invite us to reflect on how it is necessary for everyone to take an active position that becomes concrete safeguard actions. Each artist through his work will give us his point of view: a stimulus, a denunciation, a proposal to reflect together on these issues.
The exhibition created in collaboration with Cominelli Foundation and theAssociation cultural 7 thousand miles away received the support of Municipality of San Felice del Benaco and will be usable for free until October 1 during the weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
As Stefano Mancuso told us on May 4 when we met him in Desenzano: “You often hear about global warming, climate changes, urban pollution, decrease in biodiversity etc., but I don't think the seriousness of the situation is clear to most people. Being aware of the disaster that our consumption is creating should make us all more attentive to our individual behaviors, but also angry at a development model which, to reward very few, destroys our common home.”
According to the "precautionary principle" that the scientific method teaches us, the need to change our habits is not a favor due to someone, but the greatest act of love towards ourselves: in this sense, theIn praise of the limit takes on a new and different connotation, that of "Ode to Life".
